Ingredients

45 minutes
4 servings
  1. 1 cupmaize flour
  2. 1/2 cupwheat flour
  3. 1/2 cupclarified butter
  4. Salt as per taste
  5. 1/8 spooncarom seeds
  6. 1 pinchbaking soda
  7. 1/2 cuplukewarm water
  8. 1 cupsattu or roasted gram flour
  9. 1/2 cuponion finely chopped
  10. 2 spoongrated garlic
  11. 1 spoongrated ginger
  12. 2green chilli finely chopped
  13. 3 spoonmustard oil
  14. 1/2 spoonred chilli powder
  15. 1/2 spoongaram masala
  16. 2 spoonlemon juice
  17. 2 spoonfinely chopped coriander leaves
  18. 1/4 spoonkalonji

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix maize flour,wheat flour,salt,carom seeds,baking soda,clarified butter in a bowl

  2. 2

    Knead a soft dough by adding lukewarm water

  3. 3

    Cover and keep aside for 5 minutes

  4. 4

    In a bowl Mix sattu,salt,kalonji,onion,garlic,ginger,green chilli,garam masala,chilli powder,c coriander leaves, mustard oil and lemon juice

  5. 5

    Add little water and mix well

  6. 6

    Divide the dough into equal portions and stuff the stuffing inside it

  7. 7

    Flatten between palms

  8. 8

    Grease with clarified butter and put in baking tray

  9. 9

    Preheat the oven on 180°

  10. 10

    Bake prepared litti for 30 minutes on 180°

  11. 11

    Smear clarified butter on litti and serve with chokha and garlic chutney.
