Ingredients

  • 4Boiled Potatoes
  • 2 cupsMaiida / all purpose flour
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 1 tbspOil
  • as neededGhee or Butter
  • 1 cupCurd
  • 2 tspKalonji / nigella seeds
  • 2 tbspCoriander Powder
  • 1 tspRed Chilli powder
  • 1 tspGaram Masala powder
  • 1 tspPomegrante seeds powder
  • 1 sprigCoriander leaves
  • 2-3Green chillies
  • 2Lemons

Steps

  1. 1

    Take maida, salt,oil,curd,baking soda and mix it.
    Knead soft dough.
    Keep it covered in a warm place for an hour or more.

    Now prepare filling...
    Peel boiled potatoes.
    Mash them.Add chopped onions,ginger,coriander leaves and chopped green chillies.

    Add lemon juice.Add all dry ingredients and mix well.

    Now for Naan...
    Take a ball of Maida dough.
    Roll it with rolling pin.Apply ghee then fold it like envelope.

    Again roll it into round peda.Roll it again with rolling pin.

    Stuff the potato mixture
    Close it properly.
    Roll it again.

    Spread kalonji,chopped coriander leaves,chopped chillies and roll it again.

    Heat an electric tandoor.Grease the tray with butter.Place rolled naan over the tray.Heat for 7-8 minutes or until the naan gets little brown and crispy.

    Apply some butter on the naan before serving.

    Serve hot with green chutney,sweet chutney,Channas,pickles,chopped onions and raita of your choice.
