Lentil Soup
How to make lentil soup.

In a pot over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Add the onion and sauté until slightly softened, then add the garlic and stir. Add the red and green bell peppers, then the carrot and potato, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.

Add the lentils and stir well to combine. Add the tomato and continue stirring for 3 minutes.

Pour in the hot water and add the crumbled chicken bouillon cube. Stir in the tomato paste, salt, and spices. Mix well, cover the pot, reduce the heat, and let it cook until the lentils and vegetables are tender.

Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture in the pot until smooth. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes.

Add the butter and stir until melted, then remove from heat.

Serve the lentil soup hot with fried pita bread cubes and lemon wedges on the side.
