Ginger and Sultana Flapjacks

On the quest for the best flapjacks ever I came up with this. The ginger is subtle but a nice lift.
These came out a bit soft ... so turn up the heat a bit if you want them firmer.

On the quest for the best flapjacks ever I came up with this. The ginger is subtle but a nice lift.
These came out a bit soft ... so turn up the heat a bit if you want them firmer.
Steps

Melt the butter over a low heat, then add the sugar, syrup and grate the ginger.

Add the oats and stir really well so the oats soak up butter & sugar a little.

Add the Saltanas and mix through
- 4
Spread out onto a baking sheet with a spatula
- 5
Cook for 35 mins at 110°C
- 6
Remove from the oven and cut into slices / cubes.

Let it cool a little before braking apart.
