Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupchick peas dal
  2. 3/4 cupurad black split dal
  3. 1 tspeach ginger garlic chopped
  4. 1/2 tspasofetida
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. 1/4 tspTurmeric
  7. 1/2 tspred chilli kashmiri chilli
  8. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  9. 1/2 tspcoriander powder
  10. 2 tbspCorinder leaves chopped
  11. 1Tomato chopped
  12. 1onion chopped
  13. 1Green chilli slited
  14. 1 tspCumin seeds
  15. to tasteFew curry leaves optional
  16. 1 cubeamul butter

Steps

  1. 1

    First soak chickpeas dal for 1 hour add cleaned black urad split dal,dry masalas,ginger garlic curry leaves and asofetida and salt add water just to dip dal 1 inch level water.

    Whistle 3 in pressure cooker and off the gas when cool open it and add 1 cup more water if does not cook properly then again give 2 whistles. Make tadka for dal with cumin seeds,onion when golden brown add tomato and red chilli powder serve hot with chappatti

    I made tadka from my own gravy masala means masala ka bap I made this from so many curries like all dal tadka,khichdi tadka, egg curry, aloo bangain, rajmah curry etc it is very easy for me to finish my kitchen work very early can check my recipes I use little oil or butter crackle cumin seeds and add gravy masala with adding little water add little chilli powder. I serve with this dal aloo bangain sabji.and roti
