Masala dosa vada

Have used two types of rava - idli rawa and chiroti rawa for the batter of the vada and stuffed with tasty potato filling. Served with green chutney, coconut chutney and sambhar.

Have used two types of rava - idli rawa and chiroti rawa for the batter of the vada and stuffed with tasty potato filling. Served with green chutney, coconut chutney and sambhar.

For the batter of the vada: Mix everything for the batter properly in a mixing bowl by adding sufficient water.

Soak for atleast 30 minutes.

If required add more water.

Keep the batter thick and not flowy.

In another bowl take smashed boiled potatoes, onions, sambhar masala, salt and lemon juice.

Make paste of coriander leaves, coconut, ginger and chilli in the mixture.

Add the paste to the boiled potatoes

Mix everything properly and make round balls of the mixture.

Add pinch baking powder to the batter just before frying.

Dip the potato balls in the batter and deep fry them in oil at medium flame.

Serve the masala dosa vada with coconut chutney, green chutney and sambhar.
