Gujarati kadhi is a Gujarati version of kadhi. It is a very popular Gujarati dish made from buttermilk or dahi and gram flour. Kadhi is an essential part of Gujarati cuisine.
It is a fact that Dals and Kadhis are comfort foods and they are a good sauce of calcium, phosphorus, vitamins B and iron. Dals, especially are a major sauce of dietary fiber and proteins. Kadhis are a blend of yogurt and herbs which assist in efficient digestion. Every region has it's locally grown herbs and spices as the key ingredients, thus a variety of kadhis are relished across the length and breadth of Indian subcontinent.

Whisk together the gram flour, yogurt and ginger-green chilli paste till smooth. Add three cups of water and salt, and mix well. Set aside.

Heat the ghee in a deep non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chillies, asafoetida, cloves and cinnamon. When the seeds splutter, add the radish and potato, and stir to mix. Add one cup of water and cook on medium heat till the vegetables are tender.

Add the yogurt mixture and continue to cook, stirring continuously, till the mixture thickens slightly. Adjust the salt. Add the banana and Sugar Free Natura Diet Sugar and mix lightly.

Serve hot garnished with the chopped coriander.
