Kolkata fish fries

India is gifted with some amazing food hubs throughout the country and Kolkata is one among them. Egg roll, chowmein, phuchka, ghoogni, fish fry and aloo'r chop are some of the famous street foods every Kolkatan takes pride in. It has been more than 10 years I have left Kolkata and crave for it's street food too very much. My hubby who has nothing to do with kolkata( except that he is a hard core Bengali) only lends his ears to the food stories I share with him of my childhood.
But all that listening and no activity in the tongue makes him too much uncomfortable so I treat him with the same sometimes and keep that street food love in us intact. So sharing with you all the recipe of fish fry I am sure every Bengali swears of and even my 6 year old love it like anything. Enjoy it with your loved ones too. Happy eating!!!

Hubby' s Creek Fries (indoor) Hubby' s Creek Fries (indoor)
it is so funny in KY they call the 'crick fries'. here we make them all the time. we make them all the time the taste if frying without the mess. i use a lot of onion in mine... the only reason i mince the onion is because my hubby says he doesn't like onion... so i hide them... :-) i make something that i just call cheesy taters.. i put the oil seasoned potatoes in the oven in a baking dish with aluminum foil.. i make a cheese sauce and pour it over tators when there done and sprinkle on shredded cheese... take the aluminum foil off let it get hot and bubbly and golden.... Green Bean Fries Green Bean Fries
Granddaughter Dashney made these when she was visiting, and they became my favorite after just one bite. Her's were deep fried, but you can also bake them in the oven or air fryer. I made an oven-baked batch, and must say my preference is deep fried! Maggie Conlon -

A Gyoda Speciality: Jelly Fries A Gyoda Speciality: Jelly Fries
I go to eat jelly fries at a speciality restaurant in Gyoda City occasionally since I like them a lot. I wanted to eat them at home too, and after a lot of research I made my own version, which were approved by my kids, who eat them up happily. Eat more okara; it's really good for you!The skim milk is optional! You can use heavy cream or coffee cream instead! Add any of them while the potato is still hot. Adjust the amount of vegetable additions to your taste too. Cover with sauce as soon as they're fried. Use whichever Worcestershire-type sauce you like. For 18 fries. Loaded Pulled pork fries Loaded Pulled pork fries
Ive had this 3 times now and love it , I cant wait to use a smoked butt from my other recipes and add it to this with the fries & other toppings. But the original recipe for a slow cooker is below. I think this with a smoked butt will be very good 😌. ( also a kid pleaser meal I take out what they dont like I have one who dont like the green onion what I think makes this dish even better, and one that don’t like sour cream, so I leave that stuff instead of putting it all over like you should and just plate it all separately to ppls likings . Just a little side note) 🌈NinjaMommaKitchen🌈
