Ingredients

3 persons
  1. 250 gramsspinach
  2. 1 tspginger paste
  3. 2medium sized onion
  4. 8-10garlic cloves
  5. 2-3green chillies
  6. 3cloves
  7. 2cinnamon stick
  8. 4 podscardamom
  9. 1 tspcumin seeds
  10. 1bay leaf
  11. 2dried red chillies
  12. cubescheese, cut into small
  13. 1 cupgreen peas
  14. 1tomato
  15. 1 tbspclarified butter
  16. to tastesalt
  17. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  18. to tastesugar

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and dry the spinach leaves.

    To a food processor, add the spinach leaves, tomato, garlic, ginger, clove, cinnamon, cardamom, green chillies and make a thick paste.

    Now take a pan pour a tsp of oil and add cumin, bay leaf, remaining clove, cardamom pods, cinnamon and dried red chillies. Once the cumin starts spluttering add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes.

    Add the spinach paste, turmeric, salt, sugar and saute for another 2-3 minutes.

    Add green peas, water and let it cook on simmer.

    Once the gravy is thick and green peas are cooked, turn off the flame. Add 1 tbsp butter and place the cheese cubes and cover ir for 10 minutes.

    Serve hot with pulav, jeera rice or paratha.
