Ingredients

  1. 500 gmschicken
  2. 1/2 cupthick yogurt
  3. 1/2 tspturmeric
  4. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  5. To tastesalt and pinch of sugar
  6. 1 1/2 tbspkitchen king masala
  7. 2 tbspfresh cream or malai
  8. 5-6cashewnuts or almonds soaked
  9. 1 tbspmelon seeds
  10. 4 tbspoil
  11. 1 tbspghee
  12. 2green cardamoms
  13. 4-5cloves
  14. 5-6peppercorns
  15. 1small stick cinnamon
  16. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  17. 1 tbsproasted gramflour
  18. 1/2 cupwater
  19. 2green chillies paste
  20. 1 tbsplemon juice
  21. 1onion chopped
  22. 1 tbspginger paste
  23. 1 tspgarlic paste
  24. Few strands saffron soaked in milk
  25. 2 dropsmitha attar

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate chicken with little salt and lemon juice for at least 1 hour.Roast gramflour and set aside.Heat oil in a nonstick pan.Fry the chopped onion till transparent.Cool and make a paste of onion,yogurt,green chillies,melon seeds and cashewnuts or almonds.In the remaining oil sprinkle half crushed whole garam masala.When they splutter, add the chicken and ground paste.Add ginger garlic paste,cream and other masalas and salt and pinch of sugar to taste.

    Toss all.Add roasted gramflour paste and 1/2 cup water.Cook on low flame as gramflour tends to stick at bottom.Sprinkle ghee,saffron milk,mitha attar and serve with rice, kabuli pulao or any flat bread.
