Ingredients

30 minutes
2 servings
  • 2 cupsbasmati pulav rice soaked in water for at least 1/2 hour
  • 1/2 cupmix boiled chopped potatoes, french beans
  • 1/2 cupmix par boiled chopped carrots, greenpeas, cauliflower
  • 1chopped onion
  • 2chopped tomatoes (deseeded)
  • 1chopped capsicum
  • 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tspchopped green chillies
  • 4-5curry leaves
  • 1 tspjeera
  • 1/2 tsphing
  • 1 tspturmeric powder
  • 2 tspred chilli powder
  • 1 tsppav-bhaji masala
  • 2 stickscinnamon
  • 3-4cloves
  • 1bay leaf
  • 1lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • As required Chopped coriander
  • 2 tbspeach Oil and butter (for saute vegetables)
  • As required Water to steam rice and vegetables

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Cook rice in open pan in boiling water,add salt, and 1/2 lemon juice to avoid become sticky,drain water.

  2. 2

    In another pan, boil mix veg, drain water.

  3. 3

    Take a kadhai add oil and butter both in same proportion to saute vegetables, first add jeera, cinnamon, cloves, green chilli, hing, curry leaves, bay leaf stir well.

  4. 4

    Add onion, saute till pink brown, add capsicum, add ginger-garlic paste, add tomatoes, stir well till become soft.

  5. 5

    Add salt,haldi, red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, boiled veg, mix well.

  6. 6

    Now add cooked rice, mix well. Squeeze 1/2 lemon juice, mix it.

  7. 7

    Hot and tasty Tawa Pulav is ready to serve. Garnish with coriander..

  8. 8

    You can serve with tomato soup, it enhances more taste to pulav.

At the age of 18, I got married to a huge joint family and started my new journey. My family loves my dishes and appreciates me. Especially my husband and my son. So, day by day, I improved myself, and today, cooking is my hobby, my passion. My husband, Mr. Kamal Sampat always supports and motivates me.
