Super Simple Sablé Cookie Dough in 5 Minutes

The ratio of ingredients for this recipe are the same as other standard cookie cutter recipes. This recipe for sablé cookies is even easier than the recipe that I had made before. Try making this sweet snack with your kids!
-If you're in a hurry to make these, use margarine... (I usually use this anyway). If you want to make chocolate cookies, reduce the flour to 180 g and add 20 g of cocoa powder.
-Check out my rich chocolate version as well at!
-Of course you can just make it the original way with the butter & sugar, cream it and then add in the egg and flour. They will still be delicious. Recipe by Keyua

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Sift together the flour and the baking powder. Next add in the room temperature butter (or margarine) and rub it all together with your hands.
- 2
Once the dough starts to crumble, add in the sugar and mix with your hands again.
- 3
Next, add in the vanilla oil. Add in the beaten egg bit by bit until the dough comes together. Once it does, stop adding in the egg. Let this dough rest for 30 minutes to 1 hour in the fridge, if you can.
- 4
Preheat your oven to 180℃. Cut out the cookies with cookie cutters and coat them with egg wash. Pattern the tops with a fork in a lattice and then bake for 8-10 minutes.

Maple Sablé Poche - Maple Flavored Vegetarian Cookies Maple Sablé Poche - Maple Flavored Vegetarian Cookies
I have allergy problems and I am also a casual vegetarian.I thought up this recipe so that my non-vegetarian friends would say "Delicious!" when eating them. They are quite light and crispy, so they are addictively delicious.I add a pinch of salt to enhance the sweetness. You can make different variations by adding tea leaves. crushed nuts or chopped dried fruits.Cocoa powder is stronger than maple syrup so I don't think it is a good combination. Chocolate Cookies with 5-Minute Dough Chocolate Cookies with 5-Minute Dough
I modified "Easy 5-Minute Dough for Crunchy Shortbread",, to include more cocoa powder and give it a richer, more chocolatey flavour. The chocolate flavour is so rich that I decided to half the amount made. They may look like ice box cookies, but this cookie dough only contains 30 g butter. Be careful not to add too much egg. Of course you can still make these cookies deliciously the normal way by creaming the butter and sugar, adding the egg, and folding in the flour. Feel free to cut the dough out with cutters too.
