Got som inspiration from easy fluffy donate recipe on cookpad.pls have a look at it also inshaallah...thought ad bake instead and see if it may be healthier option .so here, just reduced oil and suger from original(from cpad) recipe ..but taste alright!#onerecipeonetree
Steps
- 1
Your ingredients and tool:start by making the yeast mixture in order to activate it...warm milk briefly to get warm hot not too hot.thn add thr suger in milk to activate yeast and to totally dissolve.set aside about 5vmins,in warmer area of kitchen, till foamy and ready to use in dough
- 2
Add on the flour the shortening the butter the essence the milk powder the salt to combine
- 3
Stir in well then add in the egg..the mixture was too wet so here more flour was added.that made flower overall used to be almost 2 cups..but you can adjust in order to reach texture...
- 4
Add some cooking oil to help in picking off the dough from sides of bowl and for easier mixing and dough formation..keep moving the dough round and round with spoons forks..can do with bit of extra hand here!
- 5
Keep working dough a bit more, until more stretcher and collectable by plastic scraper..or do small hand test by squishing a ball out of dough(see pic)
- 6
Cover and let rise for about an hour or so...then come back to it...don't forget it!!
- 7
Oil the board surface..and swirl the dough in the scraper then pull it out into the board
- 8
Pat the dough on the board and handle it using the plastic flat spoon as it is sticky using a hand..keep pulling it off the surface edges until it is more formed.you can knead it by using the tools by just scraping it in wards then rotating it to form length wise..if it's stretchy and soft..Alhamdulillah it's the right direction
- 9
Use a small bowl of some cookin oil in.place your hand in the bowl to cover with oil and start dividing the dough to 12 small balls..keep oiling your hands and squishing out similar sized dough section and placing in the baking trays with plenty of room in between, until all dough is completed
- 10
On the actual baking tray,so that you won't need to transfer anywhere becoz they are quite wobbly to lift up! Make disk shapes by flattening the ball shapes to medium thickness,(about 8 mm)and not too thin again with lightly oiled hands.then make a hole in middle.cover.try to avoid finger ridges...it should be smooth surface as possible!
- 11
Set aside for bit more rising..until about 10 mm thick.making sure the dough doesn't stick on covering cloth or material as the surface can quite sticky and stick on the covering
- 12
Bake in preheated oven in medium low heat for about half hour..keep checking for over Browning...and check under the dounut if it's color change slightly and try break one in half to see inside.(these donut will hav a flat base and raised on surface unlike deep fried donuts...)
- 13
Set out in cooling rake and a paper at below to catch the glaze.. then let cool while you make qwik easy drizzle.start drizzle with fork then about half way add 1 teaspoon dark cocoa, mix it and drizzle in the other direction to form some design...bismillah enjoy with mint teas spice or simply pure milk!!
