Ingredients

12-15 person
  • 1 kgSugar
  • Water
  • 1 kgSplit chickpeas (Channay ki daal)
  • 750 gmGhee
  • 1 tbspGreen cardamoms (powdered)
  • Dry dates slice 1/2 cup
  • Almonds,pista,coconut slice cut mix 1 cup
  • 4 tbspRaisins
  • Few Chandi ka warq
  • dropKewra essence few
  • Whole garam masala
  • Bay leaf (Tazpatta) 2
  • 1Cinnamon (Darchini)
  • 1Black cardamom
  • 5Green Cardamom
  • 3Long

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a pan add sugar and half cup water cook it until sugar become liquid.

  2. 2

    Take a pan add chanay ki daal & 1 jug water, Cook it until the water get dry then wait until it cool down at room temperature

  3. 3

    Then Chanay ki daal grind it into the grinder and make a smooth paste.

  4. 4

    Take a pan add ghee, Whole Garam Masala (Bay leaf, Cinnamon, Black cardamom, Green Cardamom, Long) and let it crackle.

  5. 5

    Then add Paste of chaney ki daal and cook until daal become golden brown with stir spoon continuously

  6. 6

    Then add liquid sugar (sugar syrup), cook & mix well. When sugar syrup get dry then add all dry fruits and mix well.

  7. 7

    Now add Cardomon powder, Kehwara Essence, cook it 10-15 minutes

  8. 8

    Now ready chanay ki daal ka halwa for serving. Garnish with Nuts & dry fruits.
