My Grandma Pep's recipe for prune kuchen. Can also use peaches, apples or pears.
Makes two 9-inch kuchens. Recipe easily doubles to make some to give away.

My Grandma Pep's recipe for prune kuchen. Can also use peaches, apples or pears.

Dissolve yeast in warm water with a sprinkle of the sugar...proof 5-10 min

Mix dry ingredients together then add wet in a well in center, forming into a soft dough. Let rise until doubled in size

Roll or pat down on a floured board until correct size. Transfer to pie plates and press in fruit

Dot with butter, sprinkle generous amount of cinnamon sugar on top and bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 min or until dough is golden brown.
