Akara (beans cake)

Back in the days when I was much younger, I use to see akara like something we just have to buy outside. We queued up at 'Mama Osas' each morning for akara. But when I started exploring the kitchen, I realized that I could make virtually everything in the comfort of my kitchen and have enough to eat.
It's Saturday morning today, let's have a full time ☺ breakfast: Akara.

Steps
- 1
Wash your beans to remove the peel and soak for 15mins
- 2
Sieve out of water, add pepper, tatashe, onions and blend into a paste. Don't put too much water, it shouldn't be water. But if you it becomes watery, you can pour in a siever to get some of the water out.
- 3
Pour the paste into a bowl, add salt to taste, slice your spring onions and pour into the paste. Start mixing until it starts to get fluffy. Put oil in your deep frying pan and use spoon to cut paste into oil. When it's brown, turn to the other side and allow both sides to be fairly and uniform brown. Serve hot with pap or oat.
