Fried pita bread with chicken masala

Ingredients

  1. For the pita bread
  2. 2 cupsflower
  3. 1 table spoonbaking powder
  4. 1 tea spooninstant yeast
  5. 1/2 cupmelted butter/olive oil
  6. 1seasoning cube
  7. 1/2 tea spooncurry powder
  8. For the Chicken masala
  9. 2 cupsshredded chiken, cooked and shredded
  10. 1 cuponions, coarsely chopped
  11. 1/2 tea spoonminced garlic
  12. 2finely chopped habanero propers
  13. 1 table spooncurry powder
  14. 1/2 tea spoontumeric
  15. 1 table spoongram masala
  16. 1bay leaf
  17. 1coarsely chopped green bell pepper
  18. 20 kgmelted butter or ghee
  19. to tasteSalt and seasoning

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the yeast with 1 cup of water and allow to form

  2. 2

    Place the flower in a bowl, add the flower, melted butter, baking powder, curry, and seasoning

  3. 3

    Mix the yeast with the flour to form a soft dough

  4. 4

    Cover and let it rest for 10 minimum

  5. 5

    Roll out the dough in a floured surface, and cut into desirable size

  6. 6

    Deep fry in oil, on a hot flame and drain in a paper towel to absorb excess oil

  7. 7

    For the masala

    Melt the butter in a pan

  9. 9

    Add onions, garlic and habanero peppers and bay leaf

  10. 10

    Sauté for 2 minutes

  11. 11

    Add the chicken pieces, curry, gram masala, salt and seasoning to taste

  12. 12

    Keep stir frying, for 3 more minutes

  13. 13

    Add the green bell peppers and chicken stock,

  14. 14

    Cook for a minute then turn the heat off and serve with the pita bread
