I love eating soup, but sometimes when I don't have time to simmer bones, cooking with ground meat is quick and still delicious.

Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

When the water boils, add the meatballs and 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.

Once the meat is cooked and floats to the surface, add the carrots and then the potatoes. When the water boils again for about 5 minutes, add the cabbage.

When the vegetables are just cooked, season to taste, ladle into a bowl, and top with green onions and pepper.
