This recipe is inspired by cookpad. Never thought that the waste rinds of watermelon can be used to make tutti frutti.
Steps

Cut the watermelon rinds into small cubes.

Boil in 3 cups water for 10 minutes and drain. It will be translucent.

Take sugar and dissolve in 1 cup water. Let it boil add the cooked watermelon rinds.

Divide into 3 parts along with the sugar syrup. Add food colour and essence of your choice. I've added pineapple essence to yellow colour and vanilla essence to orange colour. The red colour is rose syrup.

Mix the essence and keep aside for 2-3 hours so that colour is absorbed. Strain and dry in a plate for a day or two. You can also keep in sunlight to dry. Store in airtight container.
