Ingredients

  1. 1 kgbeef boneless (pasanday)or qeema
  2. 1 cup (250 gms)chana daal (split bangal gram)
  3. 1onion chopped
  4. 12 clovesgarlic
  5. 1small piece of ginger
  6. 8_12whole red chilli (sabut)
  7. 1 tspsabut dhania(coriander)
  8. 1cinnamon stick
  9. 1bay leaf
  10. 10_12black pepper corns
  11. 1 tspwhite cummin (zeera)
  12. 1_1/2tsp salt
  13. 1_2tsp garamasala powder
  14. For filling
  15. 1medium onion chopped
  16. 1 cupchopped mint and coriander
  17. 3_4Green chilli chopped fine
  18. 2eggs
  19. 1 tbspthick dahi (yougart)
  20. 1_2tsp garamasala powder
  21. 1 tbspsalt

Steps

    Soak chana daal in water for an hour

  2. 2

    In a deep pot put 4cup water and put onions, ginger garlic, garam masala sabut, button chillies, bay leaf, zeera, except chana daal, salt and garamasala powder

    When boil comes low the flame and cook covered.

    When beef is half done add chana daal and cook on slow heat.

  5. 5

    Add garamasala powder

  6. 6

    When beef and Daal are cooked completely and soft add salt.

    Keep it a little moist not dry completely as it will grind well.

    Take it out and cool

  9. 9

    In a food processor put this beef and grind well till soft dough. Taste the seasonings you can add salt or garam masala.

    Chop onions fine and green masala

    Add them in mixture add dahi (yougart)

  12. 12

    Add eggs one by one and mix very well with hands

    . Mixture should be neither very hard nor runny.

    Keep in fridge

    Make flat patties

    Shallow fry them till nice colour and crispy
