Pineapple Dome Cake

Inspired by culinary genius Julia Child, I made this pineapple dome cake, with a filling of fresh fruits. The whipped cream lifts up the wonderful sweet and tangy pineapple flavor, perfect for afternoon tea!

Inspired by culinary genius Julia Child, I made this pineapple dome cake, with a filling of fresh fruits. The whipped cream lifts up the wonderful sweet and tangy pineapple flavor, perfect for afternoon tea!

Assemble all ingredients. Drain pineapple rings and keep aside.

I baked a tea cake. You can also use store-bought or use a cake mix.

Pour cream into a large bowl. Use electric beater and beat until stiff peaks form. Add sugar and yogurt, and combine.

Take a round bowl. Line with cling film. Place pineapple rings against the sides. Fill holes with cherries.

Cut cake into slices and line on all sides and place in center, until whole bowl is packed. Slather cream evenly all over.

Add cocktail fruit chunks of your choice. Apply cream all over and cover the bowl.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Before serving, invert the bowl and remove cling film.
