Ingredients

  1. 2 1/2self raising flour
  2. 5 tbspsugar
  3. 1 tbspground cinnamon
  4. 3 tbspblueband
  5. Pinchsalt(optional)
  6. Milk
  7. Oil for deep frying
  8. 1/4 teaspoontumeric

Cooking Instructions

    Mix all the dry ingredients together

  2. 2

    Add your milk and start kneading till dough becomes firm(doesn't stick on your hands)

  3. 3

    Cover the dough and let it rest for not less than 30 minutes (helps dough to rise)

  4. 4

    Put the dough in a clean surface and roll it (should not be too thick/thin), cut into desired shapes

  5. 5

    Heat your oil in your pan till hot and start deep frying,keep turning till you get your desired colour

  6. 6

    Repeat process for all your mandazi, let them cool and enjoy with your favourite drink or stew
