Wash rice and drain the water

In a small frying pan pour ghee and stir fry the rice for a minute.

Turn off the flame and keep it aside

Boil one litre milk. Then add rice and keep stiring.

When the rice is half boiled add saffron sticks and cardomon powder
- 6
When the milk thickens and the rice is soft add sugar and stir well.

Turn off the flame and transfer it to another vessel
- 8
Garnish with the nuts and serve
