Til Kurmura Ladoo

Chikki is an Indian sweet which is made out of different types of nuts and jaggery or sugar. It is usually made during the festival of Uttarayan in Gujarat. It is also very popular in different states under different names.
Usually kurmura chikki or laddoo are made with only kurmura but I have added some sesame seeds to it to increase the nutritional value of it. This laddoos are a type of chikki only but it tastes different and the texture is also very different from the normal chikki because of the use of kurmura in it. It tastes truly delicious!

Steps
- 1
First of all roast kurmura on medium heat until they are crispy. Roast sesame seeds too until it gets fragrant.
- 2
Now in a nonstick pan, heat jaggery on medium heat until it melts down completely. Now add ghee to it and keep on stirring continuously until it is light, fluffy and changes its colour.
- 3
When the colour of jaggery is changed, add sesame seeds and kurmura to it and give it a good mix. Turn off the heat. Let the mixture cool down slightly so that it is easier to make laddoos out of it but do not make it cold otherwise it will be very difficult to shape it.
- 4
Grease your hands and make laddoos out of the mixture or you can even spread the mixture on a greased surface and roll it to make chikkis with a greased rolling pin. Let it cool down completely and store it in an airtight container.
