Wash fish pieces well and marinate with salt and turmeric powder.

Keep it for 10 mins.

Now take a pan and fry until it looks golden brown in colour.

Also fry potato pieces.

Now take a pan and heat the oil.

Add whole dry spices like cardamom, clove, cinnamon,bay leaves.

Put 2 tbsp Onion paste and saute it

Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and cook it well.

Now add 1 tbsp Turmeric powder and cumin powder and 1 tsp red chili powder.

Lastly add 1/2 cup tomato puree and cook it for 5 mins.

Add little bit of water and sugar.

Add more water for gravy and put the fried fish pieces and potato pieces.

Cover it for 15 mins.

Now add chopped green chillies and serve it hot with steamed rice.
