Ingredients

10 servings
  1. 100 gramsSugar
  2. 80 gramsButter or margarine
  3. 2eggs' worth Egg yolk
  4. 1Carrot
  5. 2eggs' worth Egg white
  6. 160 gramsCake flour
  7. 2 tspBaking powder

Cooking Instructions

    In a large bowl, cream the butter, then stir in the sugar, adding it in several batches.

    Add one egg yolk at a time to the bowl, and thoroughly mix.

  3. 3

    Add grated carrots to the bowl and mix well until evenly incorporated.

  4. 4

    In a separate bowl, whip the egg whites until they're a stiff meringue.

  5. 5

    Add half of the meringue to the batter, and then sift in half of the ★ ingredients. Cut in the batter with a rubber spatula, and repeat.

    Pour the batter from Step 5 into a muffin tin, and bake for about 20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180℃.

    After they are finished baking, remove from the mold, and cool on a rack!
