Cooking Instructions
- 1
In a baking dish, spread a layer of tomato sauce. It's key to use homemade tomato sauce because it gives a unique flavor! Place the hake fillet in the center and season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Make the mayonnaise: in a blender cup, add the egg, olive oil, salt, a splash of vinegar, lemon juice, and the garlic finely grated. Blend without moving the blender until it starts to turn into mayonnaise. Once it begins to form, you can move the blender up, but don't go overboard.
- 3
Spread a thick layer of mayonnaise over the hake fillet and add more tomato sauce around the sides.
- 4
Bake for about 20-30 minutes. Use the broil setting at 350°F (180°C). When the mayonnaise forms a crust, it's ready! Then turn off the broil setting and leave it for another 10 minutes to ensure the hake is cooked through.

My fillet was thick, so it was in the oven for 20 minutes, but if your fillet is thinner, adjust the time accordingly.

Shrimp and Potatoes with Garlic Lemon Mayonnaise Shrimp and Potatoes with Garlic Lemon Mayonnaise
I love this "mayonnaise milk garlic lemon sauce". I often have it just with potatoes, but the lemony flavor also goes well with shrimp. Plus my son likes beans, so I added some and he was so happy. So I created a dish combining these ingredients that go so well together. The key point is to preseason with ingredients with salt and pepper. If you skip this, the final result won't be that good so don't forget. The reason for microwaving the potatoes in Step 1 is to cut down on frying time. You can skip the microwaving step and just fry the potatoes for longer if you like. But microwaving first and then deep frying makes the result crispier, so I recommend it. For 2 to 4 servings.
