Cooking Instructions
- 1
First, mix together the seasonings to prepare the sukiyaki sauce.
- 2
Sautè the beef until brown, stir in the chopped leek, add the prepared sukiyaki sauce, and when it boils, add the tofu.
- 3
Once the tofu cooks, add the katakuriko slurry, then it's ready to serve! The thicker the sauce, the better it is to coat the ground beef.
- 4
I added more tofu to leftovers. Letting the dish sit for a while allows the tofu to absorb the sauce, and this makes it even tastier.

I had about 200 g of sukiyaki beef, but it was too little to go through the effort of making sukiyaki, so I made a variation of it in a frying pan. It's an easy way to prepare a sukiyaki-like meal.Adding the beef in two processes helps to keep it from getting too tough. You can use leek stalks in place of onions. Better than Beef!? Amazing Pork Sukiyaki Better than Beef!? Amazing Pork Sukiyaki
I bought thinly sliced pork cheaply! I wanted to eat it in a rather extravagant way, so I made it into sukiyaki.I added miso, but it still ended up tasting like regular sukiyaki made with beef.Even when beef is expensive, you can still make very satisfying sukiyaki using pork. Please use nice, fat tasty leeks.I used thinly sliced pork loin, but you can use other cuts of pork too. But it's probably best not to use coarsely chopped pork or a cut with lots of fat.The base ingredients are the same as regular sukiyaki, so you can add enoki mushrooms or chrysanthemum greens too. For 4 servings. Recipe by Hitomitsuki cookpad.japan -

An Economical Dish: Pork, Bean Sprouts, and Tofu Sukiyaki-don Rice Bowl An Economical Dish: Pork, Bean Sprouts, and Tofu Sukiyaki-don Rice Bowl
You might question using bean sprouts with sukiyaki flavors, but they really absorb those flavors well and become really tasty. This is a favorite in our family. It's kind to your wallet too, so it's your friend when your household budget is tight. It's a very easy and quick recipe. The tofu absorbs the flavors faster if you crumble it up with your hands, and you don't have to cut it either so I recommend it.The flavoring is rather sweet, so please adjust to your taste. I made this to serve with rice for dinner! The thinly sliced beef belly meat has fat, so it will not harden when cooked, but if using meat aside from belly meat, take it out momentarily in Step 5, and add it back to the pot when you add in the eggs. I wanted to make a beef bowl, the same way I made sukiyaki.Since this recipe uses a lot of onions you may want to add more soy sauce. This is my mom's way of making sukiyaki. Kansai-style doesn't use wari-shita (stock used to flavor sukiyaki), so it's a little strong and perfect over rice. Recipe by gomacookie cookpad.japan
