1 cupall-purpose flour
1/2 cupsoft butter
3/4 tspbaking powder
1 pinchsalt
1/2 tspvanilla essence
1/2 cupfine sugar
1/4 cupchocolate chips
1 tablespoonWarm milk (only if the dough becomes hard)

First, sieve the flour, salt and baking powder in a deep bowl. Then whisk together butter, sugar and vanilla in another bowl in an electric mixer till fluffy.

Then fold in the dry ingredients in the butter mix with a spatula. Lastly fold in the chocolate chips. Combine together to form a dough. Do not over knead.

Keep the dough covered in a cling wrap, in the fridge for 20 minutes. Then preheat oven to 150°c. Now grease a baking tray and line with baking paper.

Make small balls from the dough and arrange on the baking sheet with 1" distance. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Then take out and cool completely on a wire rack. The cookies will turn crisp after a while. Enjoy at Easter afternoon.
