Peel the sweet potatoes, cut into appropriate pieces, and steam.

Mash the steamed sweet potatoes with a potato masher while they're still hot.

Add the rest of the ingredients into the mashed sweet potatoes. Adjust the amount of corn starch and sugar to your liking.

Form barrel-shaped bite-sized balls. Fry in oil until golden brown.
