A delicious twist on this timeless, super easy cake. Perfect to make with kids! Use the yogurt container to measure the other ingredients.
Steps
- 1
Place the yogurt in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Rinse and dry the yogurt container. Use it to measure the other ingredients.
- 3
Add 2 containers of sugar and 1/2 container of oil. Whisk to combine.
- 4
Add the eggs and whisk again.
- 5
Sift in the flour, add the baking powder and a pinch of salt, then mix with a wooden spoon.
- 6
Drain the pears and cut them into small cubes.
- 7
Roughly chop the dark chocolate and almonds.
- 8
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- 9
Lightly grease and flour a baking pan. Spread the pear pieces in the pan, pour the batter over them, and sprinkle with the chopped chocolate and almonds, pressing them slightly into the batter.
- 10
Bake for about 35 minutes, checking for doneness. Insert a knife in the center; if it comes out clean, the cake is done!
- 11
Let cool slightly or completely before serving.
