Steps

Wash properly toor dal 4 to 5 times. Soak it in hot water for 15 minutes

After that transfer it in cooker add 3 cup water, 1/2 tsp haldi powder, 1 tsp salt, boil it for 1 whistle on high flame. Low the flame boil for another whistle. Switch off the flame

Take palak (remove stems)
Wash it properly and roughly chop it. - 4
In a mixer grinder jar add tomato, garlic, ginger, green chilli and make a fine paste.

Heat a pan add 2 tsp desi ghee add 1 tsp jeera, pinch of hing, onion, saute it till onions are light brown.

Add tomato paste, salt, 1/2 tsp haldi powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, saute it till ghee leaves the masala. (it take only 4 to 5 minutes)

Add chopped palak in it, mix it properly, cook till palak leaves the water.

Add boiled dal in it, mix it properly, cover and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, then add garam masala

Transfer in a serving bowl.

Heat 1 tsp desi ghee in a pan add 1/2 tsp jeera, pinch of hing, 2 dry red chilli. Pour it on top of dal palak. It taste awesome.

Toor dal palak is ready to serve, best accompanied with boiled rice.
