This is very common dish in our family and still everyone loves it. It tastes great when brinjals are fresh.
Steps

Take a pan. Add oil, once oil is hot, add asfoitida and tomato puree. Cook until raw taste is gone. Oil will start splitting. Add masala. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Add chopped potatoes and brinjals. Add salt and water. Close the lid and give 3-4 whistles. Let it cool. Open the lid and serve with Roti or Bhakhari.
