Chicken Tsukune Dumplings with Firm Tofu

If there are tofu burgers, there should be tofu tsukune as well?

Reduce the sauce as much as you like!
When mixing up the tsukune mixture, if you don't want to use your hands, mash up the tofu first using a whisk, then mix the chicken and other ingredients using the measuring spoon you used!
About 1/3 of the tofu will be left over, so use it for chilled tofu dishes, or add it to miso soup! Recipe by Chaaa

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 250 gramsGround chicken
  2. 200 gramsFirm tofu
  3. 1/2Onion
  4. If you want to use up one 300 g pack of tofu, use 350 g of ground meat
  5. 1◉ Salt and pepper
  6. 1 tbsp◉Sake
  7. 1 tbsp◉ Katakuriko
  8. 1 1/2 tsp◉ Grated ginger
  9. 1sprinkled on the surface ◉ Herbed salt (optional)
  10. 1use equal amounts of each ingredient! Sauce
  11. 2 tbsp◎ Soy sauce (or mentsuyu)
  12. 2 tbsp◎Sugar
  13. 2 tbsp◎Sake
  14. 2 tbsp◎Mirin
  15. The sauce reduced to nothing very quickly, so pay attention!
  16. 1Garnish: lettuce, sesame seeds, parsley, etc.

Steps

    Combine the ground chicken, tofu (no need to drain it), onion and ◉ ingredients. Mix well!

  2. 2

    Combine the ◎ ingredients.

  3. 3

    Divide the meat-tofu mixture and form into patties of the size you like! If it sticks to your hands, use water or oil on your hands to prevent that! Brown both sides and then cover with a lid to steam cook!

  4. 4

    When the burgers are cooked, add the combined sauce ingredients to the frying pan! Coat the burgers with the sauce while cooking over medium heat to reduce the sauce! I cook the burgers until the sauce is almost gone.

  5. 5

    Serve and you're done! Add lettuce or sesame seeds or dried parsley etc. to taste.
