Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupBlack lentil
  2. 1millet
  3. Water
  4. Salt
  5. Steamer

Cooking Instructions

    Soak millet and black lentil in water separately for 4 to 5 hours

  2. 2

    Drain the water from lentil and grind it to find paste (add water if needed)

  3. 3

    Grind the millets to coarse paste and the mix both lentil and millet paste

  4. 4

    Let the batter ferment for 8 hours and then add salt

  5. 5

    Transfer idli batter into idli stand and steam it for 15 minutes

  6. 6

    Remove idlis from steamer and serve hot with coconut chutney
