Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupbrown rice
  2. 400 mlcoconut milk
  3. 150-200 mlwater
  4. 3-4 tspdates syrup
  5. 1 tbspraisins
  6. 15-20almonds
  7. 8-10dry dates
  8. 1/2 tspcardamom powder
  9. 1 tspchopped almonds (for garnishing)
  10. As requiredlittle cinnamon powder
  11. As Required:little nutmeg powder

Steps

    Soak the brown rice for 3-4 hours.

  2. 2

    Drain the water and grind roughly.

  3. 3

    Finely grind the almonds and dry dates.

  4. 4

    Take a deep pan and keep the water for heating.

  5. 5

    When the water becomes hot, add the ground brown rice and cook stirring occasionally till soft.

  6. 6

    Add the dates syrup and mix well. Cook for 1 minute.

  7. 7

    Add coconut milk, almond powder, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg powder.

  8. 8

    Cook for 5 minutes stirring continuously.

  9. 9

    Serve hot or cold garnished with chopped almonds.

  10. 10

    Tip : You can adjust the dry dates and dates syrup according to your taste.
