Mushroom cheese rice casserole

Ingredients

  1. 1 cancondensed mushroom soup
  2. 1medium sized onion chopped
  3. 1/2 cupCheddar cheese or as much as you want
  4. 1/2 cupparmesan cheese or as much as you want
  5. 1 1/2 cupuncooked rice
  6. Black Pepper as per taste
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. Optional ingredients
  9. You can add different veggies as per your choice if you want to make it purely vegetarian
  10. For non-vegetarian twist add chicken pieces or tuna

    While you do the steps below preheat oven at 400F

    To the mushroom condensed soup add 1 cup water and mix well.

    On the other side, take 1 cup water and boil in a pan, and add the chopped onions. To this, add the mushroom mix prepared in step 2

    Add Cheddar cheese and rice to the mixture, salt and pepper as per taste

    Mix and let it boil for 2-3min. We are not cooking the rice.

    When the oven is ready, pour everything in a baking tray and garnish it with parmesan cheese or any other cheese ideally Cheddar.

    Let it bake for 20 min

    Serve with fried chips as a side or boiled peas, carrots or baked potato.
