It is a very tasty and healthy dal recipe we usually make in the rainy season.
Steps

Cook both dals along with Fenugreek seeds.

Now heat the deep pan, and add oil to it. once hot add mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add chopped green chilies. now add cooked dal to it.

Now add Red chili powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida,gooda masala.mix well. now add kokum syrup and Jaggery to dal. add grated coconut and chopped coriander,mix well.

Add salt and require water to adjust consistency. Give a nice boil to the dal. Serve hot with steamed rice.

In this recipe, Fenugreek seeds,goda masala and kokum are key ingredients.kokum is simple syrup. Sarbat is different. The little bitterness of Fenugreek, jaggery, and kokum makes it yummy 😋😋
