Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste and salt and set it aside.

In a blender add all spices under the paste, add 1/2 cup water and make a smooth paste, set aside

For curry - in a wok heat oil, add chopped onions and add pinch of salt to hasten the process of making it translucent, add chopped tomatoes and cook on medium flame until oil surfaces.

Add the paste and mix well, add chicken and mix well, thin coconut milk and cook on medium flame for 4-5 mins, add 1/2 cup water and cook covered for 10-12 mins on low flame

Midway add potatoes and continue to cook covered for 5-6 mins. Add salt and mix well. Add chopped green chillies and little chopped coriander leaves and mix well.

Add thick coconut milk and set aside

Plate and enjoy with steamed rice or Roti
