Ingredients

  1. 1 bowlBengal gram- (soaked)
  2. 1 teaspoonMustard seeds (black)
  3. 3-4Green chilli chopped
  4. 1/2 teaspoonHing-
  5. fewcurry leaves
  6. for stuffingFor stuffing - cashew, almonds,rasins chopped
  7. 1 tspDessicated coconut powder
  8. 2 tbspChopped coriander leaves
  9. as requiredSalt to taste
  10. 1 bowlOil
  11. 1 tablespoonsChat masala
  12. 1 cupOil

  1. 1

    Grind chana dal into fine paste. Now take 1 tablespoon of oil.

  2. 2

    Put curry leaves, hing, mustard seeds and green chilli. Make tadka.

  3. 3

    Put this tadka into the chana dal paste, add salt to taste and green chilli into the dal paste.

  4. 4

    For stuffing, mix dry fruits with chopped coriander, green chilli, dessicated coconut, chat masala and salt to taste.

  5. 5

    Now take a soft cotton cloth, pat the dal paste and put the stuffing.

  6. 6

    Fold the dal paste on cloth, fold the cloth in such a way that stuffed dal takes the shape of gujiya.

  7. 7

    Make such 5 to 6 gujiya Vada and deep fry on a slow medium flame.

  8. 8

    When light golden brown, take out from flame and serve with chutney or dip.
