#Breakfast
Easy and a quick option for Breakfast or Brunch. It's a perfect one on any day. Potatoes add that awesome Carbohydrate content to the dish. Absolutely delicious and healthy too for all including the elderly.
And very easily done too. Simple pantry staples go into making this one pot Vegetarian Breakfast dish.
Many other Vegetables can be added to it according to one's own choice. You will love the combination.
Sago Pearls need to be soaked for a good amount of time like say about 3 to 4 hours for that perfect Sabudana or Sago Khichdi.
Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Steps

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

Heat oil in a Kadai. Add Cumin Seeds. Fry for a minute. Now add Ginger garlic paste followed by the finely chopped Onion. Saute for a minute or two and then add the Potato cubes including the other ingredients mentioned. Let the Potatoes cook for about 8-10 minutes before finally adding the soaked and drained Sago Pearls or Sabudana to it.

  2. 2

Saute all on low heat until crisp and done. And also add half of the Salt. Mix well and simmer for about 10-12 minutes with a lid on.

  3. 3

Mix everything well. Add chopped Coriander Leaves and also the remaining half of Salt after checking. Garnish with a little Garam Masala. That's it. It's all ready to be dished out. Do not add water at all. Sago gets done very quickly and easily without much hassle. Enjoy it for a lovely Breakfast with the family. Yum!

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
