Ingredients

  • 4-5boiled potatoes 🥔 mashed
  • 1 cupred cabbage shredded
  • 1/2 tspblack salt
  • Salt to taste 🧂
  • 2-3 tbspoil, butter, ghee
  • 1 tspcumin seeds
  • 2finely chopped onions 🧅
  • 2small size chopped tomatoes 🍅
  • 3finely chopped green chillies
  • 2 tbspchopped parsley
  • 3 tbspchopped coriander leaves + for garnish
  • 1 tspkashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspChaat masala
  • 1/2 tspdry mango powder 🥭
  • 1 tspcoriander & cumin powder
  • For dough:
  • 1 cupplain flour
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 1 tspcumin seeds / onion seeds
  • 1/2 cupwater
  • 1/2 tspsalt 🧂

Steps

  1. 1

    For dough: combine plain flour, salt 🧂, oil, cumin seeds / onion seeds 🧅 mix gently, add water little by little, when dough is formed, cover and set aside for 30 mins.

    Wash and clean potatoes 🥔, boil them, check with a knife, when soft, remove from flame, let it cool completely, peel and grate / use potato masher, mash well, keep aside. Cut & shredded red cabbage keep aside, chopped onions 🧅, tomatoes 🍅, green chillies, parsley, coriander leaves, keep aside.

    Heat oil, add cumin seeds, when start to crackle, add finely chopped onions 🧅, stir, add finely chopped green chillies mix well, add chopped tomatoes 🍅, black salt, salt 🧂 mix well, cook for 2 mins.

    Add finely chopped parsley, finely chopped coriander leaves, kashmiri red chillies powder 🌶️, coriander & cumin powder, turmeric powder, mix well, add mashed potatoes 🥔 mix well, cook for 1 min, add red cabbage shredded mix well, cook for 2 mins.

    Add Chaat masala, dry mango powder 🥭, mix well, remove from flame, let it cool down, finally add finely chopped coriander leaves, green chillies chopped mix well.

    Heat non- stick frying pan, make equal size balls(small balls), flatten ball with your hand ✋/ use rolling pin & board,dust little dry wheat flour, make 5" diameter round circle (chappati) add filling in the centre, spread the filling, leave the sides, fold the sides well, pick up gently and drop it on hot frying pan, cook for 2 mins on medium flame, add 1/2 tsp of oil, butter, ghee, spread well, cook one side until golden, turn and cook another side the same way.

    When both sides are cooked,use the same method to complete all the balls remove from flame, serve hot with tomato ketchup 🍅, garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves, finely chopped green chillies.
