Sweet samosa

#christmasgift
When we were kids, mom used to make these mouth watering healthy snacks to celebrate the birth of Krishna on Krishna Janmastami. We all, my brothers and sisters simply loved these sweet samosa. Your kids would love this snack loaded with nuts and coconut. Sridhar enjoyed eating this saying very good Lakshmi. That was a huge compliment for me

Filling: Roast the roasted channa in a pan over medium heat for 1 minute, just to freshen up if it has been sitting in your pantry for months. Remove from heat ; let it cool down
In the same pan over medium heat, roast the grated coconut to remove moisture. For a couple of minutes, it gets aromatic. Do not let it change color. Remove from the heat
Heat ghee in same pan over medium heat to fry cashews and almonds, 2 minutes. Take out and let it cool. powder in a blender. - 4
Fry semolina in the same pan over medium flame. When it gets aromatic and changes color a little Remove from the heat.

To make samosa: In a big bowl add flour, milk powder, ghee and mix together with your fingers. Add water little by little and mix together. Knead to make a soft silky smooth dough.. Apply some ghee or oil on top, cover and rest for 30 minutes. Take out and knead again. Make about 8 balls. Knead the balls and roll in your palm to make smooth and soft.
- 6
Lightly dust chapati stone with flour. Sprinkle flour over the ball and roll it thinly. It should be very thin. Place 3 tablespoons of filling in the middle. Di p fingers in water and dab edges to seal. Fold to close, Press the edges slightly with your fingers to seal. Press with a fork.. You can fold the beautifully with your fingers. I could not it beautiful as as I was not wearing glasses. Trim the edge with a pizza cutter. Samosas are ready to fry
- 7
Heat oil in a skillet over medium low heat. I do not fill the kadai with plenty of oil. I do not use the same oil for deep frying more than once. I use the minimum amount of oil to submerge the samosa and fry one at a time. If you put a lot of oil in the kadai, you can fry 4 samosas. Flip them after a few minutes. Make sure that both sides are golden brown and crisp. Take it out and place the fried samosa on a paper towel remove the excess oil from the surface.

Transfer to a serving platter. Delicious nutritious sweet samosa are ready to taste. Share with your kids and friends.
