Quick And Easy Orange Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  1. Cake flour / All purpose flour 2 1/2 cups / 300g
  2. 1/4 tspSalt
  3. Baking powder 3/4 for APF flour
  4. Granulated sugar 1 cup / 200g
  5. 2 tbspOrange Zest
  6. Vegetable oil 1 cup / 250mls
  7. Orange fresh juice 3/4 cup / 180mls
  8. Eggs 3 room temperature
  9. 1 tbspOrange extract

Cooking Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 177°C or 350°F Butter your loaf pan or any baking tray of your choice then sprinkle with flour.

    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, (baking powder if your using all purpose flour) and salt.

    In another large bowl, combine sugar and orange zest. Rub the zest into the sugar with your fingers until the sugar is a light orange color

    Then add the oil, eggs, orange juice, and orange extract and whisk until combined.

  5. 5

    Pour the flour into the liquid mixture and whisk together just until all of the flour is incorporated. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.

    Bake for 1 hour or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
