Hot hole sandwich

The Hot Hole Sandwich, which consists of seasoned ground beef mixed within a French roll, is the ideal quick supper or between-mean snack. It’s just about right for iftari.
This sandwich is a twist on the Sloppy Joe. In my opinion, better than a burger or Sloppy Joe!
The rolls normally have a hard, crunchy crust and very light, fluffy interior. To compile the sandwich, the roll is cut in half down the middle vertically. The halves are hollowed out. Then hot crumbled ground beef is packed into the halves and the sandwich is served, ready to eat in the hand.
I did not cut the rolls in halves. Instead, I used the apple corer to make the holes in the rolls. It was easy to get the crumbs out with the apple corer. I then filled the rolls with filling.
It was quite a hit with the family and neighbours. They all relished a different type of burger/Sloppy Joe.
This recipe is easy to make and is very family- and kid-friendly. It's also something that's easy to make for iftari and the recipe can be doubled, tripled or more. An ideal iftar food, just as long as you can reheat the filling or keep it hot, and you make sure that the rolls are crunchy.
