Onion Rings! Who doesn't like these crispy and crunchy snack. Today I present a Desi version of this popular snack giving it a lovely twist by using Gram Flour or Besan. Also I have used Red Onions here instead of the usual White one's. The best part is that it can be served with just Ketchup as a dip. No need of any extra work to be done. This snack is enough on it's own and satisfies everyone's tastebuds. I have served these for Iftaar too thus making it an excellent entry to it amongst a horde of other scrumptious ideas.
All in all a super delicious snack that can be made on any day and relished with loved ones. It can be enjoyed at Tea-time or Shaam ki Chai with our whole family. It's absolutely easy and gets done quickly too. I have made a few other innovative one's too previously and have shared on the platform as well. Do check them out as well. Let's get started.

Steps
- 1
Make a smooth semi thick batter with all the ingredients mentioned and keep aside for 15 minutes. Cut onions into medium thick slices. Keep aside until use.
- 2
The batter needs to be lumpfree and thick. Add a few spices to it just like we do whilst making any kind of fritters or bhajiyas.
- 3
Heat oil on a low. Dip each onion slice into the batter. Coat well on all the sides and slide into the hot oil. Deep fry on a low to medium high heat only until crisp and done. Fry in batches to facilitate even cooking. Serve hot with Tomato Ketchup alongside. Enjoy!
