On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi I made a Thali which is Maharashtrian. It has Varan, Shevayachi Kheer, Batata Bhaji, Khamang Kakdi

For Varan
In a pressure cooker add Arhar Dal with little salt and pressure cook for 3 whistles, depressurise and set aside - 2
In a wok heat ghee, add cumin seeds, turmeric powder, cumin powder, stir. Add cooked Dal, add salt and mix well. Varan is ready

For Batata Bhaji
Boil potatoes, cool, peel and cut into pieces. Set aside - 4
In a wok heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, Hing and stir. Add minced garlic, curry leaves, chopped green chilies, turmeric powder and stir.

Add boiled potatoes and lime juice, salt and chopped coriander leaves. Stir well. Batata Bhaji is ready

For Khamang Kakdi
In a bowl add chopped cucumber, curd, chopped coriander leaves, grated coconut, add peanuts. Mix well - 7
In a wok heat oil, add cumin seeds, Hing, curry leaves and add to the Khamang Kakdi. Mix well and it’s ready

For Shevayachi Kheer
In a wok heat ghee and roast the vermicelli for 2 mins, set aside - 9
In the same wok heat ghee add roasted vermicelli, chironji, chopped cashew nuts and milk, stir well, add cardamom powder, condensed milk, stir. Shevayachi Kheer is ready
