Ingredients

  • 1/4 cuproasted gram flour
  • 1 cupplain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoonturmeric
  • 1 teaspoonchilli powder
  • 1 tablespooncumin and coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoonchaat masala
  • 1/2 teaspooncoarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cuphot oil
  • 1/2 teaspoongaram masala
  • 1 teaspoonkasoori methi
  • 400 grampaneer cubed
  • 1chopped tomatoes
  • 1medium size onion
  • 1/2green capsicum
  • 1/2 red capsicum
  • 1finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoongarlic paste
  • 1 teaspoongreen chilli and ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoonkasoori methi
  • 1 teaspooncoriander powder
  • 1 teaspoonchilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoonturmeric
  • 2 tablespoonoil

    In a bowl add boiling water and soak the paneer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes remove from water.
    In a bowl add yogurt and gram flour. Add all the spices and add in hot oil and mix.

    Add paneer, capsicum, tomatoes and onion to the the yogurt mix.Let it marinate for 30 minutes.
    In a pan add the paneer mix and cook on low heat while stirring occasionally. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Set aside.

    In a pan heat oil and add finely
    chopped onion and ginger garlic paste and sauté until translucent. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, kasoori methi, chilli powder and coriander powder

    (Add salt if preferred) Add the paneer mix and cook until it starts to release oil. Add 1/2 cup of water, cover and cook for further 3 to 4 minutes on low heat. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
    Enjoy with paratha, naan, roti, puri

Hi all, my name is Rekha. I am Indian by birth, born in Uganda, East Africa, I now live in Wilby, Northamptonshire/England.I retired at the age of 60 due to severe arthritis. I am married, a mother and grandmother.I learnt to cook from my parents at a very young age of seven. I started to cook simple dishes for the family and gradually learnt how to cook. My mum use to cook at our shop where we sold Indian sweets and savouries. I have learnt a lot from my mum. I started cooking fusion dishes and learning from others. My strong point is making sweet dishes and innovating new dishes. I can improvise and be creative in leftover dishes.I love being on Cookpad because I can share and learn new recipes. I have also made a lot of friends.
