For Bento! Bite-Sized Teriyaki Chicken For Bento! Bite-Sized Teriyaki Chicken
I coated the chicken thigh with katakuriko and fried it so that the flavor would penetrate the meat. Once you add the sauce, it will thicken naturally.Bento side dishes tend to be deep-fried but this one might be a little bit different. If you buy chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces. If you divide the lot into single servings, wrap separately, and freeze to store, you can leave it defrost in the plastic wrap in the morning, and sprinkle it with salt and pepper with it laid out on top of the wrap. For Bentos: Chikuwa and Quail Egg Teriyaki For Bentos: Chikuwa and Quail Egg Teriyaki
There are usually 8 to 10 eggs in a can of boiled quail eggs, so you won't be able to use it all up if you make 1-2 rolls for a regular bento. So why not make a big batch of these for a Sports Day festival bento!Do your kids get excited about quail eggs as mine do?Add the sauce in over low heat, and make sure to shake the pan back and forth. If you roll the quail eggs the day before (e.g. a big event like Sports Festival), you will be done in 5 minutes the day of.If you wrap these up with the yellow side of the chikuwa facing outward, then the rolls will not look very pleasant. Make sure to roll the browned side outwards! Lol. For 8 rolls. Recipe by Shijimi24 cookpad.japan -

Homemade Gochujang-The flour is used so that the sauce sticks to the chicken.-This recipe uses a little extra sugar since the chicken will be in a bento box. Very Handy for Bento! Chicken Breast Teriyaki Flavor Very Handy for Bento! Chicken Breast Teriyaki Flavor
Teriyaki sauce from McDonald's is very sweet, but the mayonnaise makes it even sweeter and thicker. But I really love it - Sometimes I really want to eat it.I tried to recreate the Teriyaki flavor.Make sure you fry the chicken breasts quickly over medium heat as it gets hard when over cooked. The coating will slide off if you over touch it when mixing with sauce. Discard the melted mayonnaise (smooth oil) (it's just oily and tasteless). Avoid using low fat mayonnaise as it does not melt well with heat. Recipe by moj cookpad.japan -

Teriyaki Aburaage for Bento Teriyaki Aburaage for Bento
I usually simmer the aburaage with mentsuyu and mirin to make "aburaage for inari sushi skin," and use it in a bento or as a topping for udon or soba. When mayonnaise is added to a sweet and salty taste, it becomes rich, similar to a McDonald's teriyaki burger!I boldly added mayonnaise into my usual aburaage, and it came out rich and delicious, perfect as a bento filler dish.I used the thick aburaage that I bought for 150 yen per 2 piece. If the aburaage are thin, slightly reduce the seasonings. It's strongly seasoned, so it goes well with rice. It tastes delicious without the mayonnaise as well. (If topping on udon noodles, omit the mayonnaise.) If packing in a bento box, simmer it well. If you remove excess oil from the aburaage, the sauce soaks in easier. Recipe by moj cookpad.japan -
