Ingredients

  1. 250 gramsbutter/margarine
  2. 3 tbspgolden syrup
  3. 3 tbspcastor sugar
  4. 3 tbspcocoa powder
  5. 1-2 cupschopped dates
  6. 1/4 cupchopped almonds(optional)
  7. 1/4 cupchopped pecan nuts (optional)
  8. 400 gdark chocolate

Cooking Instructions

    Melt butter in a large sauce pan

  2. 2

    Add the golden syrup and castor sugar, stir well

  3. 3

    Remove from heat then add in cocoa powder, dates and nuts. Mix it well

  4. 4

    Lastly add the crushed biscuits and mix very well

  5. 5

    Press the mixture evenly 25×30cm swiss roll pan

  6. 6

    Chill in the fridge until firm

  7. 7

    Spread with dark melted chocolate. Cut into fingers or squares
